Paddle laid to rest so that I may be guided by the wind.

Quiet breath sings with the forest - 

This is the new song you have asked me to learn and proclaim -

Rest and renewal.

Watching nature and taking it in. 

Opening my heart to creation and choosing to trust You.

As we are drifting, take us somewhere beautiful.

I meditate on Your word and reflect on what you have brought me out of.

May Your praise continually be on my lips as they learn to speak Your glory;

Let every word that I speak bring You glory.

Holy God, I will love you until I die - 

Show Your face to me; draw near to my heart.
